The establishment of BGSU Firelands College 1968 brought important educational opportunities to the Huron community. George Mylander, visionary supporter of the college, has nurtured those opportunities from the beginning. He holds three degrees from BGSU, including an honorary Doctorate of Public Service. Dr. Mylander has generously supported student scholarships and created a professorship at Firelands. His leadership gift for the Cedar Point Center and its Mylander Atrium as well as his newest gift for the Allied Health and Sciences project, featuring Mylander Hall, illustrate his vision for the Firelands campus and his passion for public service.
George Mylander Hall stands as an inspiration to us and a reminder that a dedicated individual can make an enormous difference in the lives of students and the community.
